Dance Recital Hell

Well, here we are at the end of May and ready to go into June. I work in a small community run theatre. Around here we call this time of year "Dance Recital Hell." We are wall to wall with dance recitals and school graduations until the end of June. Right now I am owed well in excess of 60 hours of overtime. By the end of June that figure will top out at over 100 hours.

Some days are brutal. On the 31st, my day will start at 7:30am and end at around 11:00pm. Such is life. The schedule I can deal with. What I can't figure out is why any parent would let their 7 or 8 year old child do a dance routine to the song "Hot in Here". . . What is up with that?
