ConsultingI was listening to country radio yesterday and I heard a Garth Brooks song that I had never heard before called "Good Ride Cowboy." I was doing a search for it on the internet, and it led me to Billboard's website to read this article where I was treated to the most annoying flash ad that I have EVER seen! It was an ad for Dell's new "DJ Ditty" MP3 Player that took over the entire middle of my screen. It was flash and it could not be dismissed without clicking on it to open a new screen to see to content of the ad.
What is Dell thinking with an ad like that? It is seriously the most annoying thing that I have ever seen, and it it almost worth a visit to the site just to see it for yourself to see its annoyingness!
Serves me right for using IE. If I had been using Firefox like I should have, this never would have happened!
Anyway, it seems that "Good Ride Cowboy" is part of Garth's new "Limited Series" box set available at Walmart that contains "Sevens", "Scarecrow" , "Double Live", and "The Lost Sessons" an 11 track CD with perviously unreleased material. There is also a DVD called "All Access." I already have "Sevens" and "Scarecrow" but I guess that I will still end up buying this set to get the other stuff. . .
Did you know that whooping cough is a problem for adults? It is, and I have it!
If you are older then 35 then you need to see your doctor and get your whooping cough vaccine updated. The vaccine that you get as a child wears off by the time you hit around 35 or 40, so you need to get it updated. Trust me, you do NOT want to get this!
I started off at the end of October with just a little scratchy feeling in my throat. I thought that I might have a bit of a cold. Then I started feeling really ill. I then got what I thought was my “normal” case of fall bronchitis, which then turned into a bit of pneumonia. But now my doctor says that all of this is really a case of Pertussis or whooping cough.
I have been coughing now for more than a month. I have not have had a good night’s sleep in weeks. Sometimes I cough so hard that I throw up. My chest feels like a punching bag. Not a pretty picture. But on the up side, I have lost about fifteen pounds!
My doctor says that the cough could go on for another month or two! Oh joy, oh bliss!
